Last week, the annual sartorial announcement was made during a luncheon at the downtown Neiman Marcus.

The Crystal Charity Ball committee released the names of those who will be honored as the 10 best-dressed women in Dallas during a September fashion show and luncheon.

The 2008 best-dressed are Charlotte Anderson, Pam Busbee, Alison Farrow, Ola Fojtasek, Kelli Ford, Heather Furniss, Libby Hunt, Di Johnston, Betsy Sowell and Amy Turner.

Each year, one woman who has been elevated to the best-dressed Hall of Fame is chosen to be honored for her elegance. The 2008 honoree will be Norma Hunt, widow of football pioneer Lamar Hunt.

Latin American idyll

Austin-based performer Jerry Jeff Walker is feeling fit and sassy after recovering from surgery last August that stabilized his lower back with a rod and screws. So fit that he is adding an unprecedented third Camp Belize to the 2008 calendar.

Jerry Jeff and his wife-manager, Susan, have a home in Belize. Each year, they host weeklong vacations for the singer's loyal fans, the "Tried & True Warriors," on Ambergris Caye, a small island a 12-minute flight from Belize City. The main attraction of each Camp Belize is the two concerts by Jerry Jeff.

The success of the January and February Belize events led Jerry Jeff to add a third Camp Belize scheduled for May 25-31. For more info, check out www.jerryjeff.com.

Return of 'Gypsy'

Dallas retailer and Broadway producer Roger Horchow has got his money riding on another big show. He is one of the producers of the revival of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone as Momma Rose, which just opened at Manhattan's St. James Theatre.

Among those who showed up for opening night were the show's creators, lyricist Stephen Sondheim and book writer Arthur Laurents, as well as former Momma Rose Angela Lansbury, actress Dina Merrill, John Adams star Laura Linney, former Producers star Matthew Broderick with his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, and gossip columnist Liz Smith.

Izzard gets out

British comedian and self-described "executive transvestite" Eddie Izzard was spotted at Hotel ZaZa during his Dallas visit to play the Majestic. The star of the FX show The Riches turned up for dinner at Dragonfly.
