Friday night's grand opening gala at The Joule is shaping up as an all-star extravaganza. Add hockey star Mike Modano and his singer-actress wife, Willa Ford, to the list of celebs who've RSVP'd to be at the downtown hotel event.

Former Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach and Cowboys strong safety Roy Williams (currently nursing a broken right arm) are also expected as are Dallas Stars Brenden Morrow and Marty Turco. Retired hockey great and current Stars co-GM Brett Hull also plans an appearance.

Joule owner Tim Headington's other guests include Martin Scorsese; Sarah, Duchess of York; and the Jonas Brothers.

PM Lounge lights

The Joule's Friday unveiling will also feature the opening of the hotel's club, PM Nightlife Lounge, the brainchild of Dallas lifestyle guru Todd Fiscus and decorator Rob Dailey.

LA's scented-candle king Douglas Little has custom designed a scent for the lounge and will be at Friday's opening. PM will offer food from The Joule's Charlie Palmer restaurant and a sommelier will be on hand at all times in the 1,500-square- foot space.

PM's signature beverage will be Dom Perignon served with perfumed handkerchiefs.

MoMo stares

Dallas Cowboys Jason Witten and Bobby Carpenter turned up at MoMo's Pasta eatery on Knox Street on Friday night with their wives, Michelle Witten and Courtney Carpenter.

Interestingly, it wasn't the sight of two Dallas Cowboys walking in that got the attention of diners at MoMo's. It was their pal, Andrews Distributing exec Blake Andrews. To be more precise, it was his girlfriend, 5-foot-9 Kim Dawson model Julianna Geldien, who attracted the stares.

Bush on the town

We're still four months away from Laura and George W. Bush 's move from Washington to Dallas, but the Bush sightings are already coming fast and furious.

First lady Laura Bush made a very public appearance last week at the Nasher Sculpture Center.

Things were a lot more subdued when she showed up at the Barry Whistler Gallery to see the new show "Hall Pass," by Dallas photographer Allison V. Smith. (By the way, Allison's grandfather was the late Neiman-Marcus chairman Stanley Marcus.)

Renoir the Younger

Next Saturday and Sunday, artist Alexandre Renoir, great-grandson of Impressionist master Pierre-Auguste Renoir, will attend two receptions at Milan Gallery in Fort Worth.

His appearances are part of the gallery's Sept. 18-Oct. 22 show "The Masters," featuring works by the elder Renoir as well as Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas and others.
