Baby, they can drive your car
Note to George Michael: They're called chauffeurs. Check it out. That dig aside, the Highland Park home that the British pop star and his partner, Kenny Goss, recently purchased was the scene of a Monday night dinner hosted by Filippo Tattoni-Marcozzi (right), director of Kenny's Goss Gallery, and interior designer Emily Summers. Kenny was not present as he and his just-busted fiancé headed to France to resume the singer's tour after his déjà vu arrest Sunday in London. George performed Monday in Lyon. Back in Dallas, Kenny's sister-in-law, Joyce Goss, joined Filippo, who had just jetted in from Munich, to welcome guests such as art collectors Deedie Rose, Cindy Rachofsky and Sally and Tom Dunning. Other notables included Tim McCabe and Ralph and Cornelia Heins. The home's interior was done by Cynthia Nash Hughes, who has decorated a number of homes for Kenny and George. {gt}{gt}{gt} They'll always have Paris
The aforementioned Cindy Rachofsky and her husband, Howard, soon will catch up with Kenny in Paris when George Michael performs two shows at the OmniSport de Bercy. Also making the trip from Dallas are Forty Five Ten store owners Brian Bolke and Shelly Musselman. Dirk is baaack
Returning from off-season play for Germany's national team, Dirk Nowitzki was in Dallas less than 12 hours before he pulled up to Bob's Steak & Chop House in his Mercedes. He had dinner with a party of six pals that included restaurant proprietor Bob Sambol. Three old Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys managed to roll over the Tennessee Titans without any outside help. But it may have crossed the minds of team owner Jerry Jones and his son Stephen to get Ring of Honor member Randy White, a.k.a. "The Manster," to suit up one more time. Before leaving for Tennessee, Jones father and son dined at Al Biernat 's steakhouse on Oak Lawn. Randy was there with a group on the patio. Old No. 54 went over to the Jones table and joined them for a drink. This is not CNN
The voice of Darth Vader and CNN ads was in Dallas last week to help the America Scores literacy program. James Earl Jones was here to present a $300,000 check to America Scores on behalf of Verizon Yellow Pages. Then he headed to III Forks steakhouse, where he found himself face to face with the joint's chicken-fried owner, down- home multimillionaire Gene Street. Apparently trying to demonstrate that they were kindred spirits, Gene told the actor: "How do you think I got this job, James? I could read the lines on the menu and recite them out loud."
