Order at the bar at this laid-back, bare-bones Oak Cliff microbrewery, take a seat on a bench at a communal picnic table, and prepare to experience some of the most ambitious, interesting cooking in Dallas. Chef Misti Norris’ Modern Texas fare features bold flavors (plenty of vinegar and heat), a naturalist aesthetic and plenty of Southern inspiration. If the dishes (pig’s trotters, chicken feet and the like) seem challenging, try to go with it; they’re more approachable than they might sound. The menu is brief, and even briefer on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, when only bar snacks, including fabulous charcuterie, are available.
