It could be said that Truck Yard isn't "Dallas" enough. It has a backyard Austin vibe. It serves cheesesteaks slathered with Cheez Whiz. It has a treehouse bar that's better suited for Toms than heels.

This is Truck Yard on a normal day. Just imagine the crowds brunch will bring.

Fret not, people in fancy cars: Truck Yard is now doing brunch!

Beginning May 10, (yes, that's Mother's Day), Truck Yard will open early for brunch. A press release promises "three brunch trucks" serving food such as eggs, bacon and chicken and waffles. Perhaps best of all, Hypnotic Donuts will be there, selling donut holes.

"Take that, hangover," says a press release.  Not so fast: There'll also be "brunch punch" -- an alcoholic fish bowl that serves 5-10 people. Cue the hangover by the end of Sunday Funday.

Brunch will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday through October.

5624 Sears St, Dallas. 469-500-0139. texastruckyard.com.

Here's the new "brunch punch" at Truck Yard. It is made with with cava (Spanish sparkling wine), Remy V, Cointreau Camomille, grapefruit juice and lemons.
