A new burger joint has opened in East Dallas. Called Dugg Burger, the restaurant's claim to fame is that they dig out some of the bread in the hamburger bun and place the toppings there.

The Dugger tool is used to carve out a hole in the top bun in order for toppings to be placed inside. The spare dough is used to make bread pudding for dessert.
The top bun is placed on a magnetic cooking dome to caramelize the inside of the bun at Dugg Burger. The buns come from local bakery Village Baking Co.

Dugg Burger is located at the corner of Garland Road and Buckner Boulevard in East Dallas.
The picture board menu shows the items as a meal or a la carte.
Customers can pick from a dozen toppings (the "Dugg dozen") such as bacon, mushrooms, caramelized onions and more. There's also a weekly Lucky 13 topping; last week it was pear relish.
