Richard Rawlings will help struggling garage owners make a go of it as part of a new television series freshly ordered by Discovery Channel.

Garage Rehab will detail the exploits of the Gas Monkey Garage owner and his crew as they set out to transform the fortunes of other shop owners across the country. And by fortunes, we mean their shops and their lives. The Fast N' Loud star as an Oprah for the fix-it set? Yes.

The show will premiere on Aug. 30 at 9 p.m.

Rawlings' crew will include project manager Russell J. Holmes and garage designer Chris Stephens. They will go into a garage and essentially take over, making the business decisions with profit in mind.

In a clip, Rawlings is already going all Gordon Ramsay -- not fair, there's no yelling -- on a Grapevine shop owner, telling his staff to just go home for the day.

Some of these transitions will not be smooth, and we are always ready for that.
