Entertainment Tonight online has reported that Bravo's Andy Cohen, arbiter of all things Housewives, hinted that The Real Housewives of Dallas will return for another season.

Speculation has run rampant that the show would be iced as it didn't perform in the ratings as well as the other series in the franchise. And it didn't follow form: The Real Housewives of Potomac almost immediately was renewed after its first season ended. (Potomac did have great ratings, with almost 2 million viewers every week.)

ET chatted with Cohen last Sunday at the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game in San Diego, Calif. Cohen is the show's executive producer.

"I hope that we will see a lot more of those ladies, yeah," Cohen said to ET. "We're kind of taking a look at the women and the season, and figuring out how we move forward."

That sounds like the retooling that a lot of fans -- and non-fans -- have called for. We know at least one person who would gladly join the cast: Heidi Dillon, who said as much a few months ago on Kannon and Sybil, Mornings on 103.7 (KVIL-FM).

Stay tuned. There are enough rumors out there, but one thing is almost certain: There will be more to come.
