LeeAnne Locken of The Real Housewives of Dallas had some explaining to do. So on Wednesday afternoon, she went to the city to meet with the head man himself, Mayor Harry LaRosiliere.

"I'm here because I want everyone to know I'm Plano proud," she said.

Locken was wearing a Plano lapel pin. Once an employee of the city, Locken spent a good amount of time talking about the good things happening in the city.

Plano fires back at 'Real Housewives of Dallas' with clever T-shirt

In the RHOD  premiere on April 11, she downgraded a conversation that two other cast members  -- including Plano resident Brandi Redmond -- were having by saying, "It's a little Plano in here." Residents and others went in on her on Twitter, touting the city's offerings among other things.

The kerfuffle reached as high as city government, when the city's director of marketing joined in the exhibition of civic pride by responding on Twitter. Shannah Hayley didn't stop there; she quickly designed and set up an online store for T-shirts that read "It's a little Plano in here. And we like it."

On Wednesday, LaRosiliere promised to get a T-shirt for Locken. In the meantime, he gave her a hat emblazoned with the city's name so that she "can always have a little Plano with her."
