'Amazing Race' recap: Lots of dumpster diving, some Texas charm

Our contestants continued their South American adventure in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

To be honest, I was expecting the teams to be assigned the task of finding hidden Nazi treasure. But we got dumpster diving and tilted tango.

#TeamTexas, the charming duo of Josh Ahern and Tanner Kloven, entered the episode with the fast pass. Did it do them any good?

And again with the crying. Justin Scheman of #TheGreen Team, who was bawling his eyes out over the smallest moments, again sheds a tear.

Tasks to collect clues: Dumpster diving to collect 100 kilograms of recycled cardboard, escorting a mannequin through the streets of Buenos Aires, horizontal tango.

Who finished first: #TheGreen Team. Known for his blubbering, Justin got a little emotional when he arrived at the church where Pope Francis was baptized. He did get verklempt when host Phil Keoghan told him that he and his wife Diana had won a trip to Morocco for their finish.

Who's out: #TheCousins. They had trouble with the Tilted Tango, a task that combined the best elements of tango and indoor rock climbing. The harnesses gave Alex a lot of trouble. To tell you the truth, the continuous playing of tango music by the guy in the squeezebox gave me trouble.

Texas connection: Those nights of dancing at the Lizard Lounge or Billy Bob's paid off for Josh and Tanner, well, especially Tanner, in the Tilted Tango. The duo was also showed their Texas charm by guiding late-running contestants to their cardboard-collecting cart after they'd finished.

Pivotal moment: #TeamTexas' odds might not be so good next week. The pit stop was at the Cathedral of Polo. When it looked like they might finish third, Tanner and Josh sprinted to the finish. However, Tanner pulled up a leg with a probable hamstring pull. His response, sounding almost Nathan Hale-esque: "I regret giving a leg for second place."
