Carter will take over as afternoon drive-time host and assistant program director at 102.9 Now.

Carter will move from his night on-air spot effective Dec. 3 to replace Freddy Rivera. He will be on weekdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

He has worked in Waco; Oklahoma City; Tampa, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Atlanta; and Miami.

102.9 Now announces new afternoon drive-time host starting Feb. 5

Brooke Morrison will take over as night host, from 7 to midnight weekdays on KDMX-FM. She was on the air at the University of Missouri and has worked on radio in Charlotte, N.C., and St. Louis, Mo.

Rivera had been in the job less than a year after starting as the afternoon drive-time host in February. Rivera moved from his native Los Angeles for the job and, according to a station representative, he is no longer with the company.

The station is owned by iHeartMedia Dallas, part of iHeartMedia, and is available via several platforms, including mobile, social and an iHeartRadio station.

The company also owns KHKS-FM, KDGE-FM, KEGL-FM, KZPS-FM and KFXR-AM.
