Marjorie Prime premieres Aug. 18 in select markets (though not yet in Dallas), and promises a multi-layered examination of grief and artificial intelligence with a Jon Hamm hologram. Hamm's character is a younger version of the titular Marjorie's dead husband -- expect to be thinking long after you leave the theater.

Star Wars fans (so, everyone, right?) rejoice! A standalone film on Obi-Wan Kenobi is now in the works. No date announced yet for when we'll see the Jedi Master on the silver screen, but Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) is said to be in early talks with Disney to helm the project.

Is the world ready to GTL again? 

It's confirmed: the gang's coming back to the shore. For just one reunion episode, the uber-tan reality TV show Jersey Shore crew is together again. We assume they're not bringing the kids most of them have had since the show went off the air, but who knows, really?

Royal intrigue returns

Spoiler alert (can you spoil a historical series?): life is about to get even more complicated for Queen Elizabeth in season 2 of Netflix's The Crown, and you can get a taste for what's to come in the trailer released Aug. 10. The season will stream on Dec. 8, and will be the last with these actors -- for the third season, the roles will be recast with older actors.
