Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center (TEMPORARILY CLOSED)

The center will shut down as crews complete exterior and interior work on the museum’s three structures. Reopening is expected in late 2022.

The Center encompasses three buildings: the Bear Creek Masonic Lodge, J.O. Davis House and Sam Green House. The museum displays artifacts and other exhibits that share the history of Irving's Bear Creek Community, one of the oldest African-American settlements in Dallas County.
