African American Museum

This Fair Park museum is the only of its kind in the Southwest. The 38,000-square-foot museum, built in the shape of a cross, showcases the rich heritage of black art and history in four vaulted galleries. The permanent collections include African art; African-American fine art; the Billy R. Allen Folk Art Collection; and magazine, historical, political and community archives.
