Highland Park Village Theatre is an institution and has been showing movies in Dallas since 1935. The theater’s facade hasn’t changed, vintage marquee with neon lettering included. The inside, though, received a multi-million dollar makeover in 2010: Turkish marble floors, leather seats, a lustrous bar and private viewing rooms available for rental. The theater is small and only has four screens, but it is comfortable and classy. The theater has an eclectic offering of movie showings; movies could range from G-rated Disney films to movies like The Bourne Legacy. From staff reports
