The Embarcadero Building debuted in 1936 as part of the Texas Centennial Exposition. At that time, it was known as the Food Exhibit Building. Architecturally, the Embarcadero Building is a mirror-image twin of the nearby Food & Fiber Pavilion. It offers 27,000 square feet of exhibit space – a wide variety of retailers use the pavilion to showcase their products during the State Fair of Texas. Information from the building's website
