Cat tongue cookies from the Theodore can sweeten a NorthPark Center shopping spree

These "cat tongue" cookies – like handmade, crisp-chewy Pepperidge Farm Milanos – are a special treat that goes out on the dessert plates at the Theodore, Tim Byres' newest restaurant. They're a blast from the past for Byres, who fell in love with them when he worked in Miami in the 1990s, at Pacific Time, under chef-owner Jonathan Eismann. "He showed me some really sophisticated, great things," says Byres, "and one of the desserts that stood out to me was those little cat tongues."
