Dry weather returned Friday along with cooler weather and less humidity, making for a beautiful day!
The cooler pattern comes just in time for the Mother’s Day holiday weekend. Unfortunately, the chance of showers and storms will return for the weekend. A few showers could develop as early as Saturday afternoon and evening. Here in the metroplex, the chance of rain will remain low Saturday until evening, when a few showers could sweep through.
The main round of widespread rain and thunderstorms will arrive on Sunday. It would be a good idea to keep those Mother’s Day plans either inside or flexible (if planning to be outside). The highest chance of rain will be during the middle of the day. While this may come as bad news, there is some good news - the severe weather threat appears low.
