Cold front and thunderstorms Thursday

Warm and muggy weather will continue tonight through Thursday. Temperatures tonight will be well above normal in the upper 60s to near 70. Thursday highs will be in the 80s to near 90.

A cold front will move across North Texas Thursday afternoon and evening. The front will likely set off a few thunderstorms during that time. Some storms may become severe with large hail and damaging wind gusts. Storm coverage will be rather scattered so not everyone will get a storm.

The cold front will also usher in cooler weather for Friday through the weekend. Friday will be dry with highs in the 70s. The weekend will be even cooler with highs in the 60s. Saturday will be a wet day with periods of rain. The rain will end by early Sunday followed by decreasing clouds.
