Brief morning rain chance, then becoming sunny

Your forecast from the NBC5 Weather Experts

A brief chance of showers or thunderstorms will linger in North Texas for the start of the day. A couple of strong storms are possible as the line moves east, but severe weather is unlikely.

Those rain chances will push east of DFW by this afternoon. Most locations from DFW to the west will clear out this afternoon with sunshine and warm conditions.

Wednesday and Thursday will be quite warm with highs in the mid to upper-80s, with some even approaching 90 degrees. A cold front arrives late week with cooler temperatures and another chance for rain and storms Thursday evening.

Rain chances will likely return into Saturday, along with a cool-down.
