The All-American Rejects, Plain White T's, Josh Abbott Band and more have been tapped to play the annual Taste Addison food festival in 2019.

Taste Addison runs May 31 through June 2 at Addison Circle Park. While the event is focused mostly on local restaurants' food and drink, music is always a component.

And while the past few years' musical acts were largely homegrown — like Eli Young Band in 2018 and Vanilla Ice in 2017 — the 2019 lineup includes bands from a broader area.

This year's performers on Friday, May 31 are country artists Walker Hayes ("You Broke Up With Me") and the Josh Abbott Band ("She's Like Texas").

On Saturday, June 1, Deep Blue Something ("Breakfast at Tiffany's"), Spin Doctors ("Little Miss Can't Be Wrong"), Plain White T's ("Hey There Delilah"), Smash Mouth ("All Star") and the All-American Rejects ("Gives You Hell") take the stage.

On Sunday, June 2, the festival plans to have tribute bands.

There are two ways to look at it: 1, It's just $15 to go see a band you like, with the free perk of a field full of chefs making food in a variety of cuisines. 2, It's $15 to gain entry into a food festival, and hey, there's free music.

Tickets on May 31 and June 1 cost $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12. It's free for kids 5 and under. VIP tickets are also available, and those include drink and food vouchers, special restrooms and a good view of the concert stage.

On June 2, admission is free for all ages.

"Just like Addison restaurants serve tasty delights that suit every palate, Taste Addison presents musical entertainment which offers something for everyone," says Jasmine Lee, Addison's director of special events in a statement.
