D-FW soul singer Leon Bridges announces details of new album and local tour date

Editor's note: This story has been updated to include new details of the album and tour.

Leon Bridges is back, baby.

The Fort Worth singer has been relatively quiet since releasing his debut album, Coming Home, in 2015 -- save for a couple of catchy collaborations with hip-hop's Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, electronic duo Odesza and R&B musician Nick Waterhouse. And that controversial billing as performing artist for Black Heritage Night at the Houston Rodeo. (At least, we heard it went well.)

This week, Bridges released two new singles from a forthcoming album, including a beautiful soul tune called "Bet Ain't Worth the Hand" and a sexy jazz number entitled "Bad Bad News." The new record, Good Thing, is due out on May 4. And one thing's for sure: We are excited to hear the rest of it.
