Demi Lovato, Randy Travis, the Band Perry raised $2 million for charity at D-FW concert

There's plenty belief in the healing power of music, but a concert in Arlington on Saturday took it one step further, amassing $2 million in donations for charity.

The show, hosted by online retailer BeautyKind, brought D-FW starlet Demi Lovato, country-pop group the Band Perry, Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis and others to AT&T Stadium for an evening of music.

This was BeautyKind's inaugural fundraising concert, but it likely won't be the last. After Travis and his wife sang "Amazing Grace," the company's CEO, Hil Davis, presented a check for $2 million to the American Heart Association, which aims to reduce deaths from heart disease and stroke through research, policy and innovation. Proceeds from ticket sales to the concert were donated to the beneficiary. About 20,000 people attended the concert, according to a spokeswoman.
