After political rants, Kanye West canceled Dallas show, is reportedly hospitalized

It was a tumultuous weekend for Kanye West. Monday morning, he canceled his upcoming tour dates, including the Nov. 26 concert at Dallas' American Airlines Center.

West had recently told a crowd in San Jose that he did not vote in the election. But if he had, he said he would have voted for Donald Trump. Shortly after, his concert in Sacramento started an hour and a half late and consisted of three songs and a rant about Beyoncé and Jay Z, among other things.

Then his Nov. 20 show in Los Angeles was canceled, the LA Times reported.

[UPDATE at 8 p.m. Nov. 21: NBC News reports West has been hospitalized. "The decision to hospitalize West at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center was for his own health and safety," sources reportedly told NBC. No other information was available.]

Dallas fans have already had the opportunity to see West's show, as he performed at the American Airlines Center in September. Our critic Thor Christensen called it "inventive, surreal and ludicrous." It wasn't perfect. But even a failed Kanye show is more interesting than most people's successful concerts, Christensen wrote.

E! News has more information about the cancellation. The AAC confirms that refunds will be issued for ticketholders.
