Erykah Badu returns to host Soul Train Awards, which will likely be all about Drake

We hope you enjoyed watching Erykah Badu host the Soul Train Awards last year because the Dallas singer is back for an encore.

Badu will return to the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas next month to host the music awards celebration, according to Centric, a music and entertainment channel that celebrates black women. The show will be filmed on Nov. 6 and broadcast on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. central time.

Last year, Badu performed several original tunes and made a jab at Iggy Azalea that set Twitter ablaze. This year, she'll help honor Brandy as the recipient of the Lady of Soul Award, which debuted in 2015.

As far as nominations go, the Soul Train Awards are looking a lot like the American Music Awards -- it's all about the Drake.

Drake is nominated in 12 Soul Train categories, including Video of the Year for "Hotline Bling," Album/Mixtape of the Year for Views, and Song of the Year for "Controlla." At the AMAs, the singer is nominated a record-setting 13 times for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and in several categories twice, such as Collaboration of the Year for his work with Wizkid and Kyla ("One Dance"), and Rihanna ("Work"), among others.
