East Texas country music star Kacey Musgraves is hoping to spend the holidays with you this year with the release of her first holiday album.
Entitled A Very Kacey Christmas, the album features some of Texas' famous faces, including country legend Willie Nelson and rising R&B star Leon Bridges, to help convey the magic of the season. Dallas' own The Quebe Sisters also collaborated with Musgraves on the album, which includes 12 tracks -- four originals co-written by Musgraves and eight covers. (See full tracklist below.)
When creating a Christmas compilation, Musgraves "wanted to create a whimsical throwback holiday record, one that evokes feelings of nostalgia and simpler times," she said in a statement. Influences include Bing Crosby, the Andrew Sisters, Nat King Cole, and the iconic sounds of the '40s, '50s, and '60s.
The Grammy award-winner described A Very Kacey Christmas as "part Western Swing sprinkled with bits of classic pop, hazy Hawaiian moments and child-like fun, all coming to a nostalgic and melancholy end."
It comes out Oct. 28.
[UPDATE Oct. 4 at 12:07 p.m.: Musgraves has scheduled a Christmas-themed concert at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Tickets, which cost $20-$50, go on sale Friday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m.]

A Very Kacey Christmas follows Musgraves' other successful release, last year's Pageant Material, which GuideLive's music critic said "parlayed her East Texas upbringing into some of the most winning and complex tunes to come from the country world in years."
The singer's video for single "Biscuits" was nominated for an ACM Award, though it didn't win. Musgraves herself, however, is nominated for "Female Vocalist of the Year" at this year's CMA Awards, alongside North Texans Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris.
Musgraves will be performing on the opening day of the State Fair of Texas on Sept. 30. The concert is free with a ticket to the fairgrounds. A Very Kacey Christmas will be released on Oct. 28, and you can file it right next to Kelly Clarkson's holiday release, Wrapped in Red, from 2013.
