Today marks the 75th birthday of Robert Zimmerman, otherwise known as musical giant Bob Dylan. Most of us have some sort of connection to the man's music, whether it's taking regular deep dives into his ballooning body of work or enjoying other artists' countless covers of his hits.

My dad was born days after Dylan. The singer is his musical touchstone. He and I collect all the vinyl — it's our shared stack of musical heirlooms. But we're not interested in keeping those records in mint condition. The greatest joy in collecting Dylan is listening to Dylan, whether it's an unassailable classic or an eyebrow-raising collection of Sinatra standards.

To celebrate Dylan's 75th, we've pulled together 75 songs from across the enigmatic legend's career.  At the end of this 5-hour playlist, you might just be inspired to grab a guitar and embark on a journey to discover your identity. Happy listening, and happy birthday Bob.
