Check out Fall Out Boy's new video for its bombastic anthem "Irresistible," featuring North Texas' own Demi Lovato on guest vocals. Lovato once again threatens to steal the show from everyone around her, elevating the catchy-as-hell tune by belting those signature crystalline high notes. But the song itself isn't what makes this new video so notable.
The whole thing works as a tongue-in-cheek nod to Fall Out Boy's recent propensity for poppier styles -- at least that's how I'm seeing it. The video revisits and freshens up the concept for the beloved 2000 'N Sync clip "It's Gonna Be Me," which depicted members of that famous boy band as puppet toys on a shelf.
In the new homage, Fall Out Boy's four players are the ones shrunk and stuck in the toy store, and it's up to Lovato and former 'N Snyc-er Joey Fatone to help 'em out. Chris Kirkpatrick makes a cameo, too, but alas, no Timberlake.
It's a fun one, though, and Lovato makes a great showing. Watch it above, and then take in 'N Sync's original below.
