Missy Elliott made something of an epic return to the spotlight during this year's Super Bowl halftime performance with Katy Perry, but she remained fairly dormant thereafter despite public demand for more of her badassness.
Thursday fans got their wish -- Missy Elliott dropped "WTF (Where They From)," a groovy, quintessentially Missy track featuring prime time television's favorite hip-hop maven Pharrell Williams.
The song made its debut via YouTube and in true Missy style, the video is super dance-heavy. Even more enticing is the chameleon effect that has the leading lady morphing from disco ball to marionette to pop art painting, literally.
Just see for yourself:
"WTF" is the first big release since Cookbook (2005), for which she was nominated and won a slew of awards. Allow yourself to lose control and get your freak on to these new beats.
