Talk about a North Texas collaboration of epic proportions. Locally-raised super stars Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas announced Monday they are going on tour together next year.

Deemed the Future Now tour, the two begin traveling in summer 2016, with a stop at Dallas' American Airlines Center Monday, Sept. 12. Tickets for the event go on sale Nov. 7 at 10 a.m.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas -- Future Now: The Tour

The announcement comes on the heels of Lovato's latest solo release, Confident, which Dallas Morning News critic Hunter Hauk called brash and diverse; true the the title no doubt. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard pop chart, with nearly 100,000 sales.

The 23-year-old has a big year aside from the release too; she filled in for Ariana Grande as performer at the MLB All-Star game and she became the face of a mental health campaign that aims to address stigma surrounding mental illness.

Lovato will also be in town for 106.1 Kiss FM's Jingle Ball concert Dec. 1 with One Direction and Ellie Goulding.

Jonas has spent 2015 coming into his own as a solo performer, touring in support of last year's self-titled album. He recently came through House of Blues and we think he has potential to be the next Justin Timerlake. Jonas is also up for an American Music Award.
