Calling all youths and their, ahem, lucky guardians: Tickets go on sale soon for the annual who's who of Top 40 radio pop, the Kiss FM (106.1) Jingle Ball. There are some biggies lined up for this year's edition, taking place at American Airlines Center on Dec. 1.
The obvious headliner here is One Direction, which has continued to dominate the Twitter-sphere even without that annoyingly handsome Zayn dude in the mix. Local hero Demi Lovato will bring her sexy new jams to the stage. Shawn Mendes -- another Twitter-throb -- will compete for screams with the rising boy band 5 Seconds of Summer. We've also got Calvin Harris (the chart-topping producer and reported significant male friend of Taylor Swift), Zedd (another chart-topping producer who sadly doesn't date Taylor Swift) and ice-cool chanteuse Ellie Goulding. There's Charlie Puth, who will have to endure without Wiz Khalifa, Tove Lo, who'll probably perform the clean versions of her hits, and another group called DNCE (I hope they dance).
Keep in mind that none of these acts will give full performances. It's more like a Whitman's sampler of current hits and the occasional holiday tunes.
Some sort of credit-card-related presale begins Tuesday, Oct. 6, followed by regular ticket sales on Oct. 12. More info here.
