Pentatonix releases concert documentary on June 18

When five-voice a cappella group Pentatonix named its tour -- the On My Way Home tour -- the singers were talking about Dallas-Fort Worth. "Home," for three of the five, is in Arlington.

They eventually did make their way home to D-FW this year when they performed in late March at Verizon Theater for a sold-out gig. The band announced today they're releasing a concert documentary on June 18 with footage from the entire North American tour.

Take a look at the trailer:

Pentatonix is easily the world's most popular a cappella group. The five-some found fame by winning TV singing competition The Sing-Off in 2011, then they kept a captive audience by releasing mash-ups of famous radio hits on YouTube.

The band is now determined to make its own music. It's working on a new album now, and "all of it" will be original songs, not covers, singer Scott Hoying says in the documentary trailer.
