What Stevie Ray Vaughan items will be in Rock Hall's museum before his induction?

For so many reasons, it's heartbreaking that the late Dallas native Stevie Ray Vaughan won't witness his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 18 in Cleveland. His tragic death in a 1990 helicopter crash ended a relatively short music career that had already elevated him to guitar-hero status.

Fortunately, his legacy has continued to flourish in the hands of the countless musicians who cherished him and his work. Among those are his Double Trouble band members, his brother Jimmie Vaughan, and current guitar maestro John Mayer, who will all be on hand to make sure Vaughan receives an unforgettable induction April 18.

A full week before that, on April 11, fans visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's museum will see some of Vaughan's cherished items up close as part of the 2015 Inductee Exhibit. Perhaps the most breathtaking item on display will be the butterscotch Fender Stratocaster Vaughan counted among his favorites. It has a tiger-stripe pick guard meant to honor Buddy Guy, who influenced the young guitarist greatly.

Visitors will also get to lay eyes on one of Vaughan's hats and a setlist from what would be his final tour in 1990. Hall of Fame reps tell us that the list is written "in purple marker on yellow liner paper with black electrical tape at the top and bottom." It begins with "Stang's Swang" and ends with "Riviera Paradise."
