15 can't-miss bands at 35 Denton music fest

Skim over the 250-plus bands playing 35 Denton music festival and it's likely there are many names you won't recognize. But that's kind of the point -- the fest, which invades 13 local venues and two outdoor stages March 13-15, is known for booking up-and-comers. 

To help with your discovery of new acts throughout the festival weekend, we chose one from each participating venue you don't want to miss.

1. The Deer (Austin): melodic, easy listening folk music. Playing March 13 at 9 p.m. at Harvest House.
