Teachers, you can see movies for free on Wednesdays in North Texas through Aug. 28

On Wednesdays during summer 2019, teachers can see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse's Dallas-Fort Worth theaters for free.

The deal is good at six Alamo Drafthouses in North Texas: North Richland Hills, Denton, Lake Highlands, Las Colinas, Richardson and in The Cedars in Dallas. The movie must be showing before 5 p.m. between June 5 through Aug. 28.

Teacher Appreciation Wednesdays was initially announced as a June-only deal, but on June 27, 2019, it was extended through the end of August.

The timing is good, as movies this summer include Men in Black: International, Toy Story 4, Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Lion King.

The movie theater has been generous to teachers in the past, like when it offered free daytime movies for two weeks in March during Spring Break. It's been giving away movie tickets to teachers since 2015.

Teachers who visit an Alamo between July 3 and Aug. 28 will find a special, teacher-themed menu. (And it's not just for teachers; anyone can order off of it.) Items include an $8 appetizer called Principal Pretzel & Coach Beer Cheese and the $8 Professor Pie Shake, an apple pie with caramel sauce and ice cream.
