Kudos to the Texas Theatre and the Women Texas Film Festival for joining forces to present a special month-long series, Directed By: Women Behind the Camera. It opened last weekend but runs through April 27. And some of the really fun stuff happens this weekend — especially if you're a horror fan.

For example, you can catch the buzzy thriller The Wind on Sunday, April 7 at 6 p.m.

If you're looking for a little Saturday Night Live nostalgia, you've come to the right place. Wayne's World, directed by Penelope Spheeris, screens at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13. And what do you know, April 13 also happens to be "Record Store Day!

There's even more happening  before the festival closes April 27.

There will be a pair of classics by French filmmaking icons Claire Denis, whose Trouble Every Day will screen on April 25, and Agnès Varda's Cleo From 5 to 7, which wraps it all up April 27.
