Some say Alfred Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' is the best movie ever made, and now, you can see it on the big screen

It's the film's 60th anniversary, one that offers a glimpse at the star power of Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak

Vertigo is one of those movies that all but begs to be seen on the big screen. And if you never have, well, now's your chance. Fathom Events is celebrating the 60th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's classic by offering nationwide screenings, including the Dallas area, on March 18 and 21. For more information, visit fathomevents.com. Vertigo offers the best possible evidence for why Hitchcock still reigns as the master of suspense. It is, like most of his films, a psychological thriller and thus refreshingly bereft of the gore to which the Hollywood of 2018 is so needlessly, shamelessly addicted. Jimmy Stewart has never been better as the retired police detective whose fear of heights did him in; Kim Novak is perfect as his femme fatale. And for fans of the original Dallas on CBS, you'll love seeing Barbara Bel Geddes, who played J.R. Ewing's mama on the TV series.

PLAN YOUR LIFE

The 60th anniversary screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo can be seen on the big screen in several theaters in the Dallas area on March 18 and 21, including the AMC theater at NorthPark Center and the Cinemark theater in West Plano, near Parker Road and Dallas North Tollway.
