Meet children's book authors; get free, signed books; and see film adaptations of their work when the USA Film Festival presents the 34th annual KidFilm Family Festival, the oldest and largest family film festival in the United States, at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas. The two-day event features a tribute to popular Crazy Hair Day author Barney Saltzberg, with a screening of Crazy Hair Day, a singalong with Saltzberg and readings from his new books.
Also on-site will be Wolfie the Bunny author Ame Dyckman, who will present a screening of a film based on Wolfie and read from her new book, Read the Book, Lemmings! Author Jacqueline K. Ogburn will present screenings of films adapted from her books Scarlett Angelina Wolverton-Manning and The Bake Shop Ghost. After their screenings, all three authors will sign books, which will be distributed free to families in attendance.
The festival features additional screenings of new live-action and animated films, including Maya the Bee: The Honey Games and The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales.
