This week on The Big Screen we preview the African Film Festival, coming to Dallas this weekend.
The festival, which kicks off Friday, features films from multiple African countries, and some from the larger African diaspora, including Dallas.
We preview the Dallas event with its executive director, Kelechi Eke. The festival opens with the Nigerian action thriller "Oloibiri." Eke said the film is based on an uprising in a small village in the Niger Delta.
Among the festival's films is Singleton Boulevard, a 2016 drama about four lives intersecting at a small hole-in-the-wall bar in West Dallas.
