Ready to get a glimpse of the next chapter in the Star Wars saga?
Star Wars Celebration, a massive fan event celebrating the blockbuster franchise, is happening now in Orlando. Panels are being held, tears are being shed and information is being revealed. But for many the highlight of the entire show will be Friday's panel on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, formerly known only as "Episode VIII." It's the next chapter in the story of Luke, Rey, Finn and everybody else we met or reunited with in 2015's The Force Awakens.
In the panel, hosted by Josh Gad, we got small tidbits of info about Rey, Luke, Poe and more. They also unveiled the new teaser poster (seen above) for the film.
Oh, and there's a trailer.
It was the first time that not only fans, but the members of the cast had seen any trailer for the movie.
Notably, you get to hear Luke -- it sounds like he's teaching Rey how to connect with the Force. She sees "Light. The darkness. A Balance."
We also see glimpses of Poe, Finn, Kylo Ren and more.
The trailer ends with Luke saying, "I only know one truth. It's time for the Jedi to end." Could you be more ominous?
Among the other tidbits of news revealed: A "major" new character, Rose, was revealed. She's a Resistance maintenance worker played by relative newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson. It hits theaters December 15.
