Halloween Horrors: 'Eyes Without a Face' is a mad doctor tale with a nasty cut and twist

The 1960 shocker Eyes Without a Face is poetic and grisly, a mad doctor tale with a nasty cut and twist.

On this week's special Halloween edition of Classic Viewing: Watch your face. The 1960 French shocker Eyes Without a Face is poetic and grisly, a mad doctor tale with a nasty cut and twist. The scalpel-wielding lunatic is one Dr. Genessier (Pierre Brasseur), a man on a mission. His lovely daughter, Christiane, has been horribly disfigured in a car accident. The doc wants to find her a new face. Trouble is, all the faces are already attached to other women. Hmm. Eyes came out the same year as Psycho, and in its own way, it's just shocking. Forceps, please.
