This is the season of maximum film festival density in Dallas: Just as the Dallas International Film Festival readies its jets for opening night this Thursday, the USA Film Festival has released its schedule. This year's fest, the 45th, runs April 22-26 at the Angelika Dallas.

This year's guests include Tab Hunter, Pat Boone, Margo Martindale, Ernie Hudson, Candy Clark and Lisa Loeb.

Here are five of the films we're looking forward to at the festival.

Best of Enemies - This deliciously smart documentary takes us back to the gloves-off debates waged between Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley, Jr. during the 1968 presidential nominating conventions. 7:30 p.m. April 26.

Iris - The late Albert Maysles directed this portrait of his friend Iris Apfel. The 93-year-old fashion maven will be in attendance. 7:15 p.m. April 24.

Sweethearts of the Gridiron - This documentary looks at the history of the Kilgore Rangerettes, the original dance-drill team that has been at it for some 75 years. 4:30 p.m. April 25.

Tab Hunter Confidential - Hunter, a Hollywood heartthrob of the '50s who also happened to be a closeted gay man, will be in the house for this documentary look at his life and career. 7:15 p.m. April 25.

Welcome to Me - Kristen Wiig stars as an unhinged woman who goes further off the deep end when she wins the lottery and uses the cash to start her own talk show. 7:30 p.m. April 26.

The USA Film Festival runs April 22-26 at the Angelika Dallas, 5321 East Mockingbird Lane (in Mockingbird Station). For information visitusafilmfstival.com. For tickets visitticketmaster.com or call 214-631-2787.
