Its song is no ‘Let it Go,’ but ‘Frozen Fever’ is worth catching (B+)

The cold never bothered her anyway, at least not until it snowballed into sneezing. Frozen Fever, the new animated short that precedes Cinderella, features Elsa the ice queen trying to give Anna the most perfect birthday ever while battling the common cold. Except Elsa's cold is anything but common. Every time she sneezes, she ejects Snowgies, or Snow Babies that resemble tiny, adorable little Olafs.

Anna struggles to get her big sister to stop and rest, as Elsa grows increasingly determined to go bigger and better. Expect slapstick, sweetness and fun as the original directing and voice talent behind the Academy Award-winning Frozen reunites, including Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff.

A new song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, "Making Today a Perfect Day," is no "Let It Go." Still it's a promising portent of potential spinoff adventures for these appealing franchise characters.
