All the Details

The North Richland Hills Municipal Court is a court of record. The Municipal Court is the first level of the judicial branch of government. The jurisdiction of the Municipal Court includes class C misdemeanors occurring within the territorial limits of the City of North Richland Hills. The charges processed by Municipal Court are most often filed by state peace officers, citizens, and a variety of city employees, including but not limited to police, fire, code enforcement and animal control. Most cases are criminal in nature, but Municipal Courts have limited civil jurisdiction over certain city ordinance violations. The Municipal Judge also serves as a magistrate of the State and has the authority to issue search warrants, emergency protective orders and arrest warrants. You cannot obtain entrance to the Court office through the Library or Recreation Center; the Municipal Court and Teen Court have a separate entrance on the south side of the building. Information from the city's site.
