Their spooky photos of dad and his 7-year-old daughter went viral after mom and  photographer Julie Peveto posted some of her favorites online.

The photos, taken at a Dallas cemetery, are a Halloween family tradition.

It's all in good fun, says Peveto. She's a hobbyist photographer and is often looking for places to take stylized photos. Her husband and daughter love Halloween, and so the three staged their first gothic photo shoot three years ago. Each year since, they've taken pleasure in picking outfits, selecting the location and fixing their hair and makeup.

Last year, they traveled to a castle in Oklahoma for a vampire-themed shoot.

"My daughter's used to me taking pictures of her. She's sort of my model for anytime I want to take pictures," Peveto says. Her husband, on the other hand? He doesn't usually want to be in the photos. Halloween is the exception.

Photographer Julie Peveto has posted her family Halloween photos online each year for three years, but it was her latest photos (which you can see below) that went viral in 2016.

The family carries the tradition through Oct. 31. "We have one of the most fun decorated houses on the block, with a fog machine and black lights," Peveto says of their home in the Dallas suburbs. Her daughter even participates in a Scooby Doo mystery club with some of her cousins. How cute is that?

Since the photos landed on Bored Panda, Good Morning America took notice. But Peveto says her apparent Internet fame is no big deal.

"My day to day has not changed much," she says.
