Meet 'The Voice' semi-finalist Madi Davis ahead of upcoming Plano concert

By the time she was eliminated from NBC's The Voice in December, Madi Davis had already scored a No. 5 position on the iTunes Top Songs list, just ahead of Justin Bieber. But, that wasn't the end for the 17-year-old McKinney native. She'll return to headline her first Texas show since The Voice, a "Welcome Home" concert at Event 1013 in downtown Plano on March 5.

On The Voice, Davis wowed with beyond-her-age pipes and eschewed contemporary pop for classic renditions, which ultimately may have been a deciding factor in her elimination. At home voters, it seems, have a certain predilection for current ear worms over traditional stylings, but Davis told GuideLive in December, that fact didn't affect her song choices.

"My goal was to make it as far as I could doing the music I love and the music I wanted to do," she said in December.
