Monday, May 25 is Memorial Day, and businesses around Dallas-Fort Worth are offering discounts and free food to celebrate. Here's where to get in on the action.
On May 23-25, burrito spot Freebirds is offering free chips and queso to people who engage with the company on social media. It's actaully quite simple: Post a photo of you and your friends doing something summery and hashtag #FreebirdsSummer. Then show your post at the register to redeem your prize.
Dallas-based breastaurant Twin Peaks is saluting the troops with a free entree for active and retired service members. The offer is available during lunch and dinner on Monday, and applies to a special menu of eats, which includes Philly cheesesteak, fish tacos, chicken quesadillas and a burger.
Memorial Day is Customer Appreciation Day at Wendy's and select locations in D-FW will be handing out free small Frostys as a "thank you." The catch? You have to ask for the offer. Fries for dipping are not included.
Here's another breastaurant deal if you're craving wings: Hooter's is giving veterans, active service members and their spouses a free basket of 10 boneless wings. The offer is for dine-in orders only and patrons must show a military ID.
Texas Land and Cattle
Hungry for ribs? Texas Land and Cattle is running an endless rib deal for $19.99 on Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25. Don't hesitate to wash down your meal with a couple craft brews; they're only $3 during the special.
Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse
Order one of Sonny Bryan's barbecue family meals May 22-25 and receive a free pound of pulled chicken or pulled pork. The deal is only for to-go orders made by phone, online or in-person.
