A 'Hamilton' performance, a video game announcement and more Star Wars Day celebrations

It's May the fourth, which our brand-driven society has deemed "Star Wars Day." That's fine. Star Wars is cool, and I'd say it's worth celebrating for a variety of reasons.

But some people have much cooler ways of celebrating than others.

Hamilton creator/star Lin-Manuel Miranda, for example, took the opportunity to perform the song he wrote for The Force Awakens live with the movie's director, J.J. Abrams. And if you want to download that song on iTunes? It's finally available for a mere 99 cents.

If you're a fan of Star Wars video games, exciting news comes in two flavors today. The biggest: Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment is working on a Star Wars game for EA. It will be "an all-new third-person action adventure game," but beyond that, not much is known. Respawn, however, boasts talent from the people who made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, so there's that.

In more immediate news, we got a lot more details about Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including a trailer for all the content it contains that isn't directly based on the movie. Another good bit of news: It features new voice work from the original cast, including Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Oscar Isaac.
