Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice finally hits theaters this week (March 25). With the first reviews still under embargo as of this writing, we don't know whether the full movie is better or worse than it would be if it had come out in an earlier era of comic book movies. Say, 1995.

Thankfully, with some fancy filters, some VHS-esque static and some clever editing, we can at least get a good idea of what 1995's Batman v Superman may have looked like, courtesy of this cut by ScreenCrush.

Would it have been better or worse than the Batman movie we actually got in 1995, Batman Forever?

I'll say this much at least: It seems to spoil less of the movie than the film's actual trailers apparently have.

For comparison, here's the trailer for Batman Forever.
