Guide Geek: Agent Carter, Han Solo and Lego slippers

OK, look, I'm extremely excited for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I'm devouring every bit of new footage or information that we get leading up to the film's release next month. At the same time, we're starting to get so much stuff that I'm getting a little tired of talking about it every single day.

... But I'll make an exception when Han Solo himself is being awesome with fans.

The official Star Wars YouTube channel released a video of actor Harrison Ford surprising fans during live video chats. They were fans that had previously donated to the "Force for Change" charity campaign hosted on omaze.com, and his appearances weren't without purpose. He was announcing a new contest in which fans could win a trip to see the new Star Wars early alongside the film's cast. Same deal as before: Donate to the charity campaign, get some cool stuff like exclusive shirts, and be entered for a chance to win the big trip. There are certainly worse reasons to spend some money.

Speaking of things that are hard to wait for, ABC has released the first trailer for the second season of Agent Carter, the Marvel series that will return to TV on January 5.

I actually don't have much to add to that. I just like Agent Carter a whole heck of a lot and wanted to draw your attention to it. If you missed the first season, definitely check it out, even if you're not a huge fan of superhero shows. Carter is a pretty different show with a lot of style to it.

Last week I spent some time at BrickUniverse, a Lego fan convention that took place here in Dallas. While I was there I was reminded of some of the worst pain a human being can experience: Stepping on Lego bricks.

Thankfully, Lego has developed a solution. Not so thankfully, the supplies will be very limited. Lego cooperated with French advertising agency Brand Station to create Lego-branded slippers with soles thick enough to protect your feet from any small building blocks you or your children might have left lying around. They look both comfortable and practical, but there's a catch: They're only making 1,500 pairs of them, and they're giving them away to people who fill out a Christmas wish list on the Lego France website. So if you want to protect your feet you'll probably have to keep resorting to regular shoes or something.
